Abstract

|
Cryotherapy is now a very important tool in the treatment of various ocular diseases.
The historical background of the cryotherapy is reviewed, and the development of cryosurgical instruments is discussed.
The most commonly used cryogens in ocular surgery are discussed.
Cryoextraction, Cryoretinopexy, Cyclocryotherapy, and Cryotherapy of Miscellaneous eye diseases are reviewed.
